Sustainable Printmaking | Maureen Nathan

Posted by Kim Soep on

In this short video, Maureen Nathan shares how one can repurpose Tetrapak (i.e. juice and oatmilk cartons) into a medium for intaglio printmaking.

With sustainability at the heart of her practice, Nathan not only uses Tetrapak but champions non-toxic, waterbased inks as well as repurposing plastic citrus netting as an alternative to scrim. Old Tetrapak reliefs and collagraphs are reused again and again, making their way into new and different printed compositions, collages and mixed-media works. "I save everything. Everything." Nathan says.
