Patricia Paolozzi Cain's 'Prospering/Jin' a drawing depicting abstracted branches and leaves

Our artists have been busy! Here are a few highlights from 2026 so far.

Patricia Paolozzi Cain was amongst the artists selected for The Royal Scottish Academy's 200th year Annual Exhibition. Her featured work, 'Prospering/Jin', is a 100 cm x 100 cm drawing on Fabriano paper and forms part of an ongoing series meditating on the ancient philosophy of 'The I Ching' (The Book of Changes).

Lucy Gray in her sculpture studio

This summer, sculptor Lucy Gray presents a new body of work at Resipole Studios, developed through her collaborative practice with poet and writer Leonie Charlton. Responding to Charlton's emotive verses on landscape and self, Gray gives form to the confluence of nature and spirituality through biomorphic forms. Oyster and mussel shells, limpets, urchins, rocks and petrified wood are all charged with human feeling whilst channeling the energies of the natural world.

Earlier this year, Dan Jamieson showcased his 'Hate Plates' at the Other Art Fair in New York. Pottery-cum-word-art, Jamieson's hand-written scrawls on crudely formed ceramic surfaces have captured the imaginations of so many. Aptly named 'Hate Plates' for their harsh, hard-hitting and probably best left unsaid quips, one might expect their tone to be too cynical for an American audience. But they couldn't get enough!
